Curbside Brush Chipping

The Village of Athens will provide curbside brush chipping on the following Thursdays during the month of MAY only (May 9 and May 23).  After these dates, you will need to bring your brush to the yard waste disposal site.  Please call the Village Clerk’s office by 9am on these dates listed to request curbside chipping. 

Guidelines:
*This is NOT a tree removal service, but instead should be used to provide a service to residents who are doing routine tree maintenance. 
*Branches should not be any larger than 4 inches in diameter
*Please neatly stack the piles of brush no taller than 4 feet high and 10 feet long with the branches running parallel to the street
*No stumps

If these guidelines are not followed, your brush will not be chipped curbside and you will be responsible for hauling it down to the yard waste disposal site.  As a reminder, you may bring your brush to the Disposal site (located at 104 Degner Street) at any time.  If you have any questions, please contact the Clerk’s office.
